Message “What Is This Thing Called LOVE?” Rev. John Song
We spend more time learning how to get a driver license and receive training to drive a car than learning how to be in a relationship. The problem is this: we never got instructed in how to co-create a healthy, loving relationship. We are often left alone to figure out how to navigate our relationships. We can get easily triggered by our reactions and escalating arguments, leaving us feeling disconnected and rejected.
Where there’s hurt and fear, love can’t flow. How can we build a more trustworthy and dependable relationship where you both feel safe and secure? Healthy love makes the world a kind and peaceful place for our children, and their children, to grow and thrive.
Feb. 14th is Valentine’s Day. Establishing right relationships with people is the central theme of most biblical stories. We’ll delve into the Genesis story of Adam and Eve to explore “What Is This Thing Called LOVE?” We will learn…
What is “Romantic Infatuation” and why are we so addicted to it?
What happens when the magical feeling of “falling in love” wears off?
What love is and what isn’t. What love does and what doesn’t do.
Communication Skill:
3 words to use when communicating difficult and challenging issues that arise in a relationship:
I observe…
I feel…
I need (want)…

Creating a safe, honest, responsible, and integrous space for each other
Learning each other’s Love Language: I feel loved when you_______________.
