Laity Sunday
Sunday, October 20, 2024, 10 am
Laity Sunday is the celebration of “the priesthood of all believers.” This is a Christian doctrine that states that all Christians are part of a common priesthood and have direct access to God through Christ. This doctrine was a central principle of the 16th-century Protestant Reformation and introduced a democratic element to the church.
Children’s Time “How Much Faith Is Enough” Ms. Marieta
In the Bible, Jesus says that even a small amount of faith is enough to be considered righteous by God. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus tells his disciples the Parable of Muster Seed that if they have faith like a grain of mustard seed, they can move mountains and nothing will be impossible for them.

Prayer of St. Teresa of Avila
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
Only God remains steadfast.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.
All shall be well
and all shall be well
and all manner of things shall be well.
~ Julian of Norwich (1342-1423)
