Message “My Pets, My Partners” Christine Hyde
Animals have always been an important part of Christine (Chris) Hyde’s life. As a child she wished for a puppy and a horse when blowing out birthday candles. Chris grew up in Corralito’s with family dogs, cats, horses and 4-H sheep and pigs. She and her sister, Marilyn, enrolled the dogs in obedience classes at the Watsonville fairgrounds where a passion for dog training began. The Hollister Hyde family currently includes two Airedale terriers—7-year-old Berkeley and eleven-month-old Eagle. Chris and her terriers participate in competitive dog sports.
Prior to retirement, Chris taught in an elementary school in Hollister. She has found that teaching kids and training dogs have many similarities!
What is dog spelled backward? God.
