Father’s Day Sunday
Sunday, June 15, 2025, 10 am
Today we honor our fathers, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Though they may be imperfect vessels of love, they helped bring us into the world as providers, protectors, teachers, and encouragers who launched us into the world.
Thank you, fathers, for all that you were and did for us.

Message “What Is Good Fathering?” Rev. John Song
On Mother’s Day I gave a message on “What Is Good Mothering?” Now, its dads turn. On this Father’s Day my message will be “What Is Good Fathering?” Whether you are a dad, grandad, or an adult, who have relationships with children, teens, and young adults, this message is for you. I made lots of mistakes as a father and as a male figure along the way. I learned some valuable lessons that I wish I knew then. The world needs tender loving, wise and strong fathers. There is a unique gift that only a father can give to a child. Our children desperately need it, and the health of our society depends on it.
Proverbs 22:6
“Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
Malachi 4:6
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children,
and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”
“All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.”
~ Magic Johnson
“My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person:
He believed in me.”
~ Jim Valvano
“The greatest gifts you can give your children
are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”
~ Denis Waitley
“The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.”
~ Billy Graham
“I can’t thank you enough for showing up.
It’s not the same without you.”
~ James Taylor
