Special Music The Road You Are On Brandon & Trisha Kett
Music & Words by Brandon Kett
Brandon writes, “I wrote this song last September, inspired by a 7 note chant I had heard from a Pacific Voices Choir performance. I named it “The Road You Are On” and as my song progressed through the year, it felt like I was singing it as a sort of prayer for a friend, so I added to the name of the song (Prayer for a Friend).”

Message “What Mystics Teach Us: Part 2” Rev. John Song
This is a continuation from last Sunday. Mystics teach us to shift out of an anthropocentric way of living and into an inter-being conscious life that is in alignment with God’s consciousness. Being aware of the connection between all things can help us in terms of the broader effect we may be creating.
There are times when we may feel disconnected from the world. It can seem like our actions are of no major consequence, and we may feel like we exist in a vacuum. Yet the truth is that our simplest thought or action — the decisions we make each day and how we see and relate to the world — can be incredibly significant and have a profound impact on the lives of those around us, as well as the world at large. The earth and everything on it is bound by an invisible connection — people, animals, plants, the air, the water, the soil.
Insignificant actions on your part, whether positive or negative, can have an impact on people and the environment even if they seem separate from you. Staying conscious of the connection between all things can help you think of your choices and your life in terms of the broader effect you may be creating.
Mystics have something to teach us on how-to live-in alignment with God that consciously serves God, the Universe, the Earth, and each other.
